Content is all the information broadcast by a specific conditional business through social networks or a website. As a rule, regularly, content shoots are ordered for posting on social networks.

 

First, filming for Instagram or other social media occurs only after a content plan is created and texts are written. Sometimes clients try to ignore this, but this is the basis on which the shooting plan is built, models are selected, props are purchased, and so on.

If you do the opposite - you start with the shooting and create texts on its basis - the result can be unpredictable because visual materials have no unifying idea. The photographer works only with what he has at hand.

 

Secondly, the content of the shoot depends very much on the event's budget. So it happens that, paying for the most straightforward rate, the client asks to have, for example, an ara parrot in the frame. In this case, the rental price of such a bird can exceed the cost of the entire shoot.

So, let's imagine that the content plan is created, all the texts are written, the photographer is at a low start, and then.... the first misunderstanding can happen. ʼ

 

For the brand of healthy sweet "Croutella," I made a conception for the photoshoot dedicated to Saint Valentine's day and the 8th of March (The world Woman's day). 

 

The photo shoot was 5 hours, and we changed 4 locations. I invited five professional models, and before photoshoot, I made a conception. 

 

1st part - couple photoshoot in the Happy Valentines Style and product photoshoot in pink cafe location. 

 

2nd part -  photoshoot with the second couple in gray location. Product photoshoot with hands. 

 

3rd part - mother and daughter photoshoot, dedicated to the 8th of the Match.

BRAND photoshoot includes:

  • Creating an individual visual concept
  • Selection of photo ideas and locations for the theme of your blog, consulting with the choice of clothes, images, and makeup. 
  • Photoshoot for four hours with a professional model from the agency. 
  • I am creating a stylish Instagram profile. 

So, at this stage in the content-shooting, the right thing to do is as follows:

 

1. The content manager creates a plan for the month, writes texts, and finds examples of the implementation of each frame for the photographer. This document can look like an excel spreadsheet with embedded examples of visuals. It's best to do it in Google Drive. He then gives this document to the photographer.

 

2. The photographer evaluates the length and complexity of the shoot, selects the locations, and lists the props he needs.

 

3. The content manager (or account manager) coordinates the text part and references for the visuals (example shots) with the client. At this stage, it is still possible to make changes.

As for the whiteboard, it is created in the following cases:
- when developing the first shoot,
- when changing the style of the account.

The main idea was to create content for Instagram with Vapes and hookah in a very aesthetic style because Instagram has a lot of sanctions for tobacco production. 

Preparing for the shoot is also a process; it must be done in as much detail as possible to avoid mishaps at the site. You will need:

 

- Renting hours in the chosen location (if shooting outdoors, the stage is skipped): you need to contact the photo studio and, if necessary, make an advance payment.

- Procurement of the central part of the props. If the studio does not have enough support for the shoot's subject, you will need to find them: buy, rent or borrow from friends. If something complicated is supposed to take place: retro-theme, exotic - find a rental service and reserve it in advance.

- Search for models (if any). Models need not just find but describe the task in as much detail as possible:

 

1) What product or brand is being photographed for?
2) Where the photos will be used.
3) Whether there will be payment for the photo shoot, and if so, how much.
4) Where the photo shoot will take place.
5) Appearance requirements for the day.
6) Will there be animals in the shoot (the person may be allergic)?
7) Will there be a makeup artist and stylist?
8) Exact time and location of the gathering.
9) Whether a contract is expected to be signed.

If you have read up to this point, you understand that the cost of a turnkey content photo session will depend on the number of people involved. 

 

Typically, a content shoot includes 30 photos for the tape (for each day) and 30 images for stories.

 

We can shoot based on the customer's TOR (based on the content plan with references, for example) or invite his representative to the shoot, who will monitor the frame construction in real time and select the best photos.
